Preserved AC electric 86259 Les Ross handled the southern portion of the tour, with 46115 Scots Guardsman taking the Preston - Carlisle portion.

Neither of the two locos involved in The Scot over Shap tour is a stranger to the WCML.
Here, old and new(er) are pictured side by side as the Scot heads for Lostock Hall to be turned before returning to Carnforth.
